In 1894, JC Higgins, prominent citizen of Sanford and superintendent of the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad built this classic Queen Ann Victorian home in Sanford, Florida for his wife and nine children. Today, Patty and Mike Ribera operate the home as a Bed & Breakfast with the intimacy of a boutique Hotel.
Enjoy your stay while lounging in the inviting wooden rockers on the front porch, explore the botanical garden, or savor a cup of morning coffee or an afternoon glass of wine on our sunny back deck.
Following your gourmet breakfast, you can stroll the Riverwalk along the shores of Lake Monroe, explore the antique shops, art galleries or specialty breweries downtown, or plan to attend one of Sanford's lively street festivals all within a few blocks walking distance.
When traveling via the nearby Orlando Sanford Airport or Amtrak's AutoTrain, you can diminish the stress by staying at the Higgins House. You are invited to experience this unique sanctuary located in the center of historic Sanford.
Patty and Mike look forward to your visit!
